Christoph Demuth from STRATUM will have a Speech at Austrian Kosovo Smart Infrastructure Day 2016 presenting Austrian Smart Traffic Solutions for the Balkans

This February, STRATUM will be present on “Austrian Kosovo Smart Infrastructure Day 2016”, which will take place on 1st February 2016 in the University for Business and Technology [UBT] in Pristina, Kosovo.

Starting from this year, STRATUM will play a vital role as a partner and supporter of all events towards “Smart Infrastructure – Smart Mobility – Smart City – Smart Kosovo”.

Furthermore, Mr. Demuth, as a representative and partner in the STRATUM Network which includes STRATUM OÜ Estonia and STRATUM Traffic Engineering Austria, from now on has a new, official role as Advisory Board Member of OeKG.

On the one-day event “Austrian Kosovo Smart Infrastructure Day 2016”, Mr. Demuth will be presenting “Austrian Solutions for Smart Traffic Solutions from the Baltics to the Balkans”.

The organization of the events covers organisations such as: OeKG –  the Austrian Kosovo Society and UBT, IG Alpbach Kosovo, Connect South East, Stratum Traffic Engineering Austria and all interested stakeholders, including Mr. Walter Hecke, former CEO of Austrian Road Agency Asfinag and  Mr.  Franz Fischler the President of European Forum Alpbach, Former EU Commissioner.

The event “Austrian Kosovo Smart Infrastructure Day 2016“covers three main objectives:

  • Towards European Standards in Mobility Management
  • Modern Technology as a driver to how mobility is organized in Kosovo
  • Smart Infrastructure – Smart Mobility – Smart City – Smart Kosovo

Following up on the success of the „Austrian Kosovo Smart Mobility Day 2015” whereas STRATUM has taken an official participation on the 25 of November 2015 the objectives of the “Austrian Kosovo Smart Infrastructure Day 2016“are:

  • Discuss the Austrian Model of Infrastructure Management and Development Based on the ASFINAG.
  • The Austrian Motorway Development.
  • Management and Financing Holding Mobility Management and the meaning for Economic Development Public Finances and the sustainability of the Kosovo Infrastructure Development under current public finance limitation without accepting EU standards  in road pricing and mobility management in order to further develop the Kosovo infrastructure  system based sharing the financing over a longer term and developing further income stream to co finance the development and operating with Kosovo and regional users of the highway system.
  • Austria can be a the role model for Kosovo and develop an integrated, systematic approach to: Road Pricing, City Parking Management, Congestion and Traffic management, Traffic related Pollution Reduction,  Insurance Payment control , Road Safety, Accident Management, Road Side Assistance, Driving Conditions Information for the Public, Emergency Management and Security and Control related Issues, Border Access and Diaspora Travel Information Systems, Strategic Infrastructure Priorities, Integration of Logistics and Mobility for Goods and People between Road, Rail and Air, Public and Private based on latest technology and a systematic multi stakeholder and cross faculty approach.
  • Develop this issue with its EU aspects and the Berlin process and the regional transport infrastructure aspects in cooperation especially with Albania and Macedonia.
